For our post-production survey and for a general audience-opinion, the Media Studies music video groups have been promoting their finished videos for all members of sixth form to view. At this screening, we will all be handing out post-production surveys that we have created, for our final results write up of audience judgement. Below are a few pictures of where Josh and I promoted our video by displaying posters in various popular areas around the sixth form advertising the viewing:
We also broadcasted status updates on Facebook, advertising the event to JFS students:
The Screening
The official screening had a turn out of about 70 students. Joshua & I gave out 20 surveys that required the students to answer open, probe, and multiple choice based questions. The video was viewed on a large projector screen which unfortunately reduced the quality of the video, and the sound was of poor quality. Therefore our video's impact did not show it's full potential, so we invited several students to the Media Suite to watch it on a clearer screen with excellent sound quality. This way, they were able to accurately complete the surveys with a true awareness of the video's full impact.
