Risk Assessment & Important Information

After careful consideration, Josh and I have completed our risk assessments for both dates of filming:

Sunday 8th November - North Watford White Studio

Tuesday 10th November - Radlett Treetop Forest

Below is a page of 'Important information' we have drawn up that covers us for both dates of filming. This consists of a props and costume list, performers and contact numbers, a rough shooting schedule, emergency contact numbers and important images of vital props:

Contacting the Performers
To notify our performers of all the important information they need, we have contacted them through Facebook. Building up to the shoot, we are regularly contacting them ensuring they are learning the lyrics for lip synching shots, choreographing their routines, and that their train journeys are organised. Below is a letter we have recently sent them via Facebook (in two parts):

Costumes
We want to dress our performers in tight black leotards, black tights, and to be bare foot. This bold simplicity will allow their bodies to effectively stand out from the surroundings, so their choreography can be clearly and precisely seen throughout the video. Being that we want the movement and dancing to be a strong focus, we don't want to distract the viewers with elaborate costumes that could mask and hinder their performances. Our final reason for this choice of sleek plain dress, is so the performers are not given an identity or a sense of personality so the viewers do not see them as people with a character, but instead mere physical representations of the lyrics. Right, is a picture of the type of costume we are aiming for:

Make-Up & Hair
We want their facial features to be heavily exaggerated so in editing when we contrast the colours, their facial expressions will be effectively embellished. To achieve this, the performers will apply elaborate black eye make-up, layered blusher, and bright red lipstick. Their hair will be let down and loose, so the flicking movement of their hair whilst dancing will add a dramatic appearance as well as the fans being able to blow and create a fluttering appearance.
