Now that our video is produced to it's final version, we wanted to broadcast our video to see what...the world thinks of it! Therefore, we uploaded the avi. file to YouTube and enabled the comment feature of the video, so viewers are able to share their views and opinions. This way, we are able to gain the widest understanding of audience judgement possible, and we will be able to evaluate the video on a personal basis to see if all our hard work has paid off! To date we have had nearly 800 views and a great load of comments from YouTube users. The video is very easily found under the YouTube search engine with a tag-enabled feature which allows the video to be shown when the following words and phrases are searched for: A2 Music Video JFS, Aha A-ha! Imogen Heap, Ellipse, Sony BMG Megaphonic Records 2009, Greg Bernstein, Joshua Moss. With Imogen Heap being a world-renowned music artists, having her tagged in our video (as the music is her material) YouTube users are commonly searching for new videos of her, allowing our video to be associated with this search and pop-up in their findings. Above is a screenshot of the video in the YouTube facility. Below is another screenshot of the comments we have had posted on the comment feature so far:
We also broadcasted a link on Facebook to our video on YouTube, to widen our audience feedback. Here are a sample of comments we received:
As another hope of personally contacting Imogen Heap, we have been messaging her Twitter and Facebook profile once a week with an attached 'post' of a video link to YouTube with a small message informing her of this task. Knowing that Imogen is on tour promoting her newest album 'Ellipse', we have realised it will be quite a while before we receive some form of feedback from her, if any.
